This time next year…
I want to be a few weeks away from graduating.
I’m hoping to head back to university in September this year after taking a year out (which you can read about here) and so this time next year I’ll have had my dissertation all handed in, about to start my last exams, and ready to graduate in about 5 weeks. I’m going to push myself to try to get to this stage over the next year and put my all into fourth year so that I can do the best I possibly can.
I want to have read at least 30 books.
I set myself a reading goal on Goodreads to try to read 30 books this year. A few years ago, I would’ve been able to read 30 books in a week but since discovering social media, having a part-time job and being constantly tired, I can never find the time. Reading is one of my all-time favourite things to do – I have such a wild imagination and I love being transported off to different places and getting to know all the characters – so I’m hoping that a reading goal will encourage me to get back into it all. I’m also planning to start regularly reviewing books on my blog, so this will be a good reason for me to read more too!

I want to be in a good place, physically and mentally.
This is a HUGE goal but I’m super confident I can get there. Mentally, I feel like I’m already improving so much – a break from uni has helped clear my mind and my blog and other new hobbies have really boosted my confidence and my enjoyment of every day. I feel like I’m in a completely different place than I was only 3 months ago, and I’m so determined to keep improving! I’m going to keep going with my blog and try to look more positively towards university, by giving myself time to prepare and setting proper goals and deadlines so I have the best possible chance, which will help lower stress and worry!
Physically, my goal is to feel more content with my body and be stronger, healthier and happier. This time next year, I’m hoping to have complete confidence in the way my body looks and feels and to have more energy than I do now. I’m trying to eat better and I’ve started yoga again so I want to keep these habits going to help build myself back up.
I want to get back into writing
This time next year, I’d love to get back writing short stories, poems and maybe even continuing with my novel! I’ve had a novel all planned out for over a year now but I get so insecure about my ability to complete it. It’s my absolute dream to become an author, so I’m going to work super hard to try to get this plan in motion over the next year by making a start on my novel and building up my confidence in my ability.
I want to improve my blog and keep a regular posting schedule.
At the moment, I’m pretty good at using my blog planner to plan my posts yet I always find myself writing a post an hour before it’s scheduled to go live. I definitely want to change that! I want to push myself to get into the habit of being more organised with my posts and maybe even having a few posts scheduled at once (a girl can dream). As I’ve blogged for just over a month, I’m still good at keeping my posts regular, but I want to keep this up for the full year and make sure I am consistent with my content. Generally, I’d also like to improve my SEO and blogging knowledge so that by next year, I can take my blog to bigger and brighter places! I’ve got a huge board on Pinterest full of blogging guides, tips and tricks, so I’m planning on spending the next few months incorporating these into my blogging routine.
I’ve tried to keep my goals are realistic as possible and hopefully, in 365 days I’ll be back and can tick these off!
