I’ve seen this tag floating around so I thought I’d give it a go.
Are you named after anyone?
I don’t think I’m named after anyone, although I was originally supposed to be called Caitlin. Apparently, when I was born my parents took one look at me and knew I was a ‘Claire’ but I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing… what does a ‘Claire’ look like?
Do you have any pets?
I have a little guinea pig called Arlie and she is my absolute everything – I genuinely treat her like she’s my baby! I’ve had her for about a year now and I spend so much time with her, she’s just adorable. I would love a puppy as well but will probably need to wait until I have my own place before I can get one.
When was the last time you cried?
I cry all the time! I cry at sad things, happy things, Disney movies, cute animals, cute children/babies, when I’m angry – honestly cry non-stop. I think the last time I properly cried/welled up was a few days ago at the vet’s with Arlie because she had to get an injection and I felt so sorry for her.
Do you have kids?
I don’t have any human kids, no. Just Arlie.
If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
I’ve had a lot of ups and downs these past few years and I don’t think I would’ve wanted to be my friend last year as I was very hard to be around. I’ve started to feel better these days though and so I think I would rather be a friend of myself now.
Do you use sarcasm a lot?
I wouldn’t say I use sarcasm that much in general, but around my boyfriend especially I am very sarcastic sometimes.
What’s the first thing you notice about people?
The first thing I notice about people is definitely their smile. I feel like you can really tell a lot about someone on how genuine and bright their smile looks.
What is your eye colour?
My eyes are a really strange colour! They are mainly green with little flecks of orange/gold around the pupil – they’re so strange.
Scary movie or happy endings?
DEFINITELY happy endings! I hate horror movies so much, I have such an overactive imagination and I get so terrified of anything scary.
I have so many! I’d say my top 5 are the smell of books, the air once it’s been snowing, the smell of the seaside, the smell of petrol (sooo good) and the smell of coffee.
What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?
The furthest I’ve been from home is probably when I went to Ireland with my boyfriend to meet his grandparents. I’m a real homebody, I tend not to stray far for too long.
Do you have any special talents?
I’m not sure if I have any real talent in it but I enjoy singing.
Where were you born?
I was born in Glasgow, Scotland and 21 years later I’m still here!
What are your hobbies?
I love writing, arts and craft activities (sewing, knitting, mini DIY projects) and I’m always watching Netflix and YouTube videos. I play The Sims waaaay too much as well.
Do you have any siblings?
Yes, I’m the oldest of 3 so I have a 12-year-old brother and a 7-year-old sister.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Career-wise I would love to work with children. Currently, I’m hoping to become involved in the teaching/social work route – but any work with young people is where I want to be. Overall, though, I just want to be content when I’m older – I want to be able to be happy that I’ve tried to live as worry-free as possible.
How tall are you?
I’m 5’4 and a half, and yes, the half is REALLY important!! I’ve been this height for as long as I can remember so I’m pretty sure I stopped growing when I was 13.
How many countries have you visited?
I’ve only ever been to England and Ireland, which I guess don’t count because it’s still UK-based so I’ve never visited any! I have a huuuuge list, so I’m hoping to get my travel on in the next few years.
What was your favourite/worst subject in High School?
In school I loved English and History, I’ve always been more of a writer/reader so I loved the essay based classes. I wasn’t too good at maths in school, but I’d definitely say I hated PE the most – I used to come up with the silliest excuses to avoid doing it.
What is your favourite drink? Animal? Perfume?
My favourite drink at the moment is probably Appletiser, soooo good. Picking a favourite animal always makes me feel so sad and guilty because I love all animals, but I’ll always be obsessed with dogs. For favourite perfume, I’ve been loving Daisy by Marc Jacobs for so long now, but I’m undecided if it’ll be my scent for all of my twenties.
What would you name your children?
I love this question! For boys, I love Noah and Isaiah and for girls, I love Niomi and Imogen.
Favourite memory from childhood?
I had the happiest little childhood and I have so many lovely memories. I don’t have a favourite memory in particular, but my grandparents used to own a caravan before my gran passed away and so any time spent there with my family all together was just the best.
How would you describe your fashion sense?
My fashion sense really depends on my mood. Some days I’ll just be in my joggies and a hoodie just chilling out and other days I really love dressing up! I enjoy keeping up to date with the latest styles but I enjoy making my own looks up as well.
What phone do you have?
I have a silver iPhone 6 but I’m due to get a new one at the end of this year – I can’t wait!
Do you have any bad habits?
I have a really bad habit of talking myself out of things because I get really scared of my ability. I also interrupt people a lot, which I know my boyfriend HATES.
Hope you enjoyed getting to know more about me! I’m looking forward to reading your responses if you decide to give this tag post a go, it’s so much fun.
